Finding reliable writing help can be expensive. Most editors and writing coaches charge corporate-style rates. I know because I used to do that too. But no more.
I created Figments & Fables to support my industry and share what I know. Somehow charging corporate rates to do that seemed wrong. So this year, I intentionally lowered my rates.
You get the same professional help (and tap into my 30+ years of experience) without the high ticket price. It only seems fair to me.
Please note that I limit my public booking calendar to Wednesdays and Thursdays for coaching. I do my best to keep that calendar updated with my availability and will open alternate dates when I am booked on a production that interferes. As an active writer and producer, my schedule is fluid.
If you can’t find a good time for what you need, please send me an email and we can figure out a good time together.

- You will always get me in your coaching sessions. Not an assistant. Not a bot
- You will get direct feedback on your work, not just theory or rules to follow.
- You will get tips to use that I’ve tested successfully.
- We will work together to achieve your writing goals. I won’t write for you, but I will guide you on ways to strengthen your writing and improve your skills.
- You will have access to me after our session. I won’t leave you out in the cold to fend for yourself.
- I always will give you my best effort. No shortcuts. No templated responses or cookie cutter approaches. Every session will be tailored to your specific needs.
- I will be honest, but kind. Feedback will never be delivered in a demeaning way.
- I will never force you to change anything in your work. I may explain why a change might improve your writing or be prudent to undertake, but then I will leave it to you to execute or not. My goal is not to take over your writing, but to help you improve.
- I will offer resources when applicable.

Each coaching session includes access to me via email afterward for follow-up questions. The length of access will be determined by the service booked. Three days for a one-hour call. Ten days for a half-day session. And two weeks for a full-day session. I will respond within two business days (if not sooner).
