U.S. Military & Military Family Pricing

Military discounts available

Supporting members of the U.S. military and their families is personal to me.

I grew up as a military brat, am a former military spouse, aunt to two active duty officers, and have written for many military clients.

I understand the unique challenges, transitions, and stories that often come with military life. And I’m proud to offer reduced-rate coaching as a way to give back to the community I consider family.

The Discount Details

I offer a 40% discount on select 1:1 coaching services for:

  • Active duty (all branches)
  • Reserves
  • National Guard
  • Veterans
  • Retirees
  • Qualified dependents

This discount applies to individual coaching sessions only (Power Hours, Half VIP Days, and Full VIP Days).

It does not apply to standard bundled rates, because bundling the military rate costs less than my official bundle prices.

How to Access Military Pricing

To receive the military rate:

Email susan@figmentsandfables.com

Include proof of military service or dependent status

Accepted forms include:

  1. DoD ID
  2. State-issued ID with veteran status
  3. DD214 (or equivalent form)
  4. Photo in uniform (this is the honor system)

You may redact any personal information beyond your name and status.

Once verified, I’ll send you a private booking link for the discounted session or a coupon code.

What to Expect

Military-priced sessions receive the same level of care, depth, and attention as all other coaching services. The only difference is the rate.

All coaching is:

  • 1:1—just you and me talking writing, editing, and related fields
  • Conducted via video call or the free Voxer app (for asynchronous coaching)
  • Collaborative and done-with-you services
  • Focused on clarity, strategy, and narrative techniques

One-Hour Call $150 (reg. $250)
Half-Day $450 (reg. $750)
Full-Day $900 (reg. $1500)

VOXER COACHING
Power Hour (delivered in a 1.5 hour time slot) $105 (reg. $175)
Half-Day Sprint (delivered in a 6-hour time slot) $300 (reg. $500)
